JENNIFER PARISI
Jennifer Parisi is an American representational oil painter based in Northern California. Working primarily from life, she creates symbolic still lifes and landscapes that explore mortality, hope, loss, and the deeper emotional narratives revealed through ordinary objects and places.
Drawing inspiration from seventeenth-century painting, Art Nouveau, and the natural world, Parisi combines traditional oil painting techniques with symbolic storytelling to create works that invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences. Flowers, vessels, birds, animals, and landscapes become recurring metaphors for resilience, transformation, and the fragile beauty of being human.
Her paintings are built slowly through observation, contemplation, and careful craftsmanship. Through symbolic storytelling, she invites viewers to reflect on their own lives or to grow in empathy for experiences they may never have lived themselves.
Jennifer's current practice centers on developing cohesive bodies of work that balance careful observation with poetic symbolism. Through painting, she hopes to encourage viewers to slow down and rediscover the beauty found in moments of quiet reflection.
