JENNIFER PARISI

Jennifer Parisi is an American artist based in California. Her work explores the tension in contrast—life and death, chaos and peace, color and monochrome—inviting viewers to look deeper and question initial impressions. Rooted in a lifelong passion for painting and design, her pieces are rich in narrative, emotion, and symbolism.

Guided by a quiet, intentional lifestyle and a deep reverence for nature, the power of the mind, and the gift of time, Jennifer draws inspiration from philosophy, spirituality, and the beauty found in the contrast of life around her. She believes in the eternal and the mysterious—suggesting that beneath every surface lies a story waiting to be uncovered.

Largely self-taught and refined through mentorship, Jennifer has developed a distinct visual language that reflects both introspection and curiosity. Her art becomes a portal into imagination, memory, and the layered complexities of existence.

Her creative process is both intuitive and disciplined—a slow, meditative unfolding that begins long before the brush meets the canvas. Each piece starts with quiet observation and reflection, often sparked by a memory, a dream, or a symbolic idea that lingers in her thoughts.

Jennifer designs each work in her own methodical process; sketching, journaling, and creating references—both visual and emotional—allowing the concept to take root organically through a quiet meditative process.

Once the vision is clear, she moves into the painting phase beginning with experimental and often emotional mark making, sculpting the structure of the design in the underpainting, and building up layers in oil with patience and precision. Her approach is deliberate and atmospheric, using both opaque brush strokes and soft glazes, she contrasts muted tones against controlled bursts of color to guide the viewer’s emotional journey.

Every mark is considered, every detail placed with intention—inviting stillness, presence, and an openness to what lies beneath the surface.
